Sep 26, 2011

How often do you meet with your Accountant?  Most business owners meet with their Accountant once a year, if that!  Now, most of this is due to the costs of an Accountant and business owners see this cost as a luxury item.  Mindsets need to change!  A good Accountant that you meet with on a regular basis will actually save you money in the long run.  This is an investment into the future of your business.

Many businesses go through each year just trying to keep afloat and are too busy or do not have enough funds available to meet their Accountant.  With good professional advice the business can go from strength to strength.  Ongoing advice is VITAL to your business.

Business owners who meet with their Accountant regularly will be able to minimise tax liabilities and have a sounding board for their business.  Your accountant is a valuable source of information not only on the numbers, but many other aspects of business.  It may be that you need to grow your business in a particular sector and do not know where to start.  Your Accountant will probably have an idea how to break into this area or they may have contacts that will save you a lot of time investigating.

Everyone wants a business that will last.  For a business to last you have to surround yourselves with the right advisors.  These should be  Accountants, Solicitors, Bank Managers and other business owners.  Please act now and talk to your existing advisors.  Get new ones if they are not up to the task.  It will literally transform your business!
